“There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique, and if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium; and be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is, not how it compares with other expression. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep open and aware directly to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open. No artist is pleased. There is no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction, a blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive than the others.” - Martha Graham
“Sometimes I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.”
-Calvin and Hobbes, Bill Watterson
Here's a quote from "Healing Back Pain; The Mind-Body Connection"by John E. Sarno, M.D.
"One of the most powerful systems that has evolved over the millions of years of life on this planet is the biologic capacity for healing, for restoration. Our body parts tend to heal very quickly when they are injured. Even the largest bone in the body, the femur, only takes six weeks to heal. And during that process there is pain for only a very short time. It is illogical to think that an injury that occurred two months ago might still be causing pain, not to mention one of two or ten years ago. And yet people have been so thoroughly indoctrinated with the idea of persistent injury that they accept it without question."
"It is absurd to divide people into good and bad. People are either charming or tedious." - Oscar Wilde
John Fugelsang: "White People - We were Illegal Aliens back before it was trendy!"
"I'm a douchebag, if you could empty one and fill it with Jack Daniels, Smarties and daydreams." - John Mayer
"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side." --Hunter S. Thompson
"But, If by a 'Liberal' they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people — their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties — someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a 'Liberal,' then I'm proud to say I'm a 'Liberal.'"
"It's all part of life's rich pageant" - Kurt Riemann
"My heart is open. I am willing to release all resistance. Good now flows into my life from expected and unexpected channels. Love is the miracle cure. Loving myself works miracles in my life. I now accept and appreciate the abundant life the Universe offers me. I allow my income to constantly expand, and I always live in comfort and joy."
