Bearing Fruit
No word yet about the lullaby book. It has me thinking about my songwriting again, or not again, but differently. I co-wrote a Celtic piece with my loving husband, and now it looks as though the piece will be a part of a music library, and hopefully will generate some income. I need to revisit all the children's music again, and the preschool music program I created.
I wonder how many creative people dream it up, get it started, and then don't quite 'finish' or release the work at the end (likely not having found an ending)?
A new song has been brewing within me. i don't know what it is yet, but I know it is there. Odd to say, but it is true. I need quiet.

Musically Changing
Deciding to make a change is so much easier than having changes handed to you.
Both test your flexibility and adaptability. But when you didn't choose it, the flexing
and adapting is reluctant, so, a little stiff.
Music wants to happen with me one way or another, so it has been pushing to the surface
in other ways, that are ultimately more satisfying.
There may be a book, a children's book, from the words of a lullaby that I wrote.
How flattering is that?
It is lovely to think of.

Musically speaking
I'm in a web of indecision. Traveled 5000 miles and back (aka vacation) to see if it brought clarity to the situation; but it is still clear as mud to me.
So, what now? Oracles? Prayer? Distill it down to one hard question? Flip of the coin?
I had been flirting with the idea of changing things up musically speaking, but now this situation was thrust upon me/us, and is not of my choosing or design, so I am flummoxed.
I'm not going to state the obvious pros and cons of one side and the other here. No one has asked me to take a side - we're not in grade school. So it comes down to how it all sits with me.
It's not sitting well, at the moment.
If I walk away though, there's no recreating this particular group. There is none better in the State.

Improved
Funny how you get used to things. I'm used to my son being out of school, and now my daughter will join us as well. I did a lot of home-school research when she (the older one) was a toddler; so I guess it always felt like an option to me. She just surprised me by wanting to go to pre-school and school, and she enjoyed both, until now. So, now we'll go for that option.
Band - well, another time - we got through the Christmas shows, and now I'm taking a little break.
